We start teaching the English GCSE syllabus from the beginning of Year 10, with the intention of completing our revision notes by the Autumn half-term in Year 11. From here, we focus on weak topics and exam style questions until the GCSE’s arrive.

Lessons are planned to cover all three text (two classics and one modern), the poetry anthology and creative writing.
